Prepare for a smoother inspection day

A little preparation before the first appointment makes it easier to stay with the inspection once you arrive. Keep the details where you will use them.
Review the appointment as a whole
Check the property address, client contact, arrival window and services booked. A home inspection with a radon test needs a different service list from a reinspection. Keep the primary inspection and its add-ons together.
Review the property details available to you, and note any access information you need to clarify with the client before the visit.
Get the phone ready before you leave
Open the day’s inspections while you have a connection. The offline-first inspector app can keep work on the phone when signal drops, but downloading the appointment before entering a basement is a better starting point than discovering it is missing there.
Check the battery and available storage. Take photographs and notes against the inspection as you go, rather than relying on your camera roll to reconstruct the visit later.
Leave time for review
A saved finding is not necessarily a finished report. Review wording, photo captions and severity levels before publishing. If AI helped draft a finding, check that it matches your observation of this home.
iSpector scheduling, the inspector app and inspection reports keep those steps connected.
